Position Summary:
Under close supervision, the Associate QA Analyst assists with quality activities for projects and enhancements, from inception through go-live and also post-implementation. The primary focus for the Associate QA Analyst is to learn both the foundational concepts and the overall strategy of a strong quality assurance program.
The Associate QA Analyst will work closely with the Sr. QA Analyst in building and executing project quality plans, as well as understanding QA concepts with respect to both waterfall and agile project management.
Software QA duties include planning and meeting with customers across campus to help understand, gather and record business and functional requirements. In addition, the Associate QA Analyst will help fulfill testing activities to include writing and executing test cases, managing defects and reporting.
The Associate QA Analyst will learn and build technical QA knowledge in the areas of test automation and load/performance testing using appropriate tools and within a suitable framework. Functional automation will encompass both GUI and API-based testing. Performance and load testing will concentrate on key scenarios and how specific systems and applications respond to various user loads and stress.
The Associate QA Analyst will also participate in strategic discussions involving topics such as roadmaps, tool selection and overall strategy.
Starting salary placement in range is based upon selected candidate's qualifications relative to minimum required education, experience, and knowledge. The competitive range for a fully qualified/fully performing candidate is $42,000 to $50,500
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor's degree in a Technology or Business focused field from an accredited institution with quality assurance or IT experience.
Foundational knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management principles, as well as modern IT technologies, processes and applications.
Experience with programming and/or scripting languages, such as JAVA, JavaScript, Python or equivalent. Basic understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL.
Detail oriented with strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and business units, as well as leaders from multiple campus units.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with modern IT QA practices. Experience querying databases for testing validation is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
